Welcome to the PayMyStudent application portal from QMC. Please read the section below before completing your application.

If you received Financial Support last year and require continued support, you need to complete a new application for 2025-26. Log in using your ID number, DoB and password from last year using the 'Sign in with Microsoft' You are not required to register again. 

New students are required to register. To do this you will need your STUDENT ID NUMBER. If you are applying before Enrolment you will find this in the Joining Pack sent to you at the end of June. Check your spam/junk folder if you have not received this. If you are applying following your enrolment appointment you will find the number on your QM ID card issued during the appointment. 2nd Year students who wish to apply for the first time will also be required to register. If your admission number begins with an O please ensure you type the letter O in capitals and not a zero. The portal is case sensitive and will not accept incorrect details. Once registered you will be asked to validate your account. A link will be sent to the email address you register with. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the link.

You can only apply if you are in receipt of a government funded means-tested benefit, such as Universal Credit.  We are unable to assess an application if you are in receipt of any contribution-based benefit, or no benefits at all. Failure to submit the correct evidence will delay your application, and in some case will not be assessed. 

Applications will only be assessed once all sections are complete. During very busy times it can take up to 20 working days to process an application, so we advise applying early.

If you are travelling by public transport we are unable to fund travel costs whilst an application is being processed, or offer refunds once approval has been granted. Please ensure you are able to travel to college whilst your appliction is being assessed. 

If you wish to travel on one of our direct College buses you are required to complete a separate application. Details can be found on our Travel to College page on the QMC website and in the Joining Pack. When applying for a bus pass, please tick the 'applying for a bursary.' box. This will ensure you are allocated a seat but will not be charged at the time of booking. Once your application has been processed you will be informed if there is anything to pay or not.  If you have any questions regarding the College buses please email [email protected]. Free College Meals. The bursary fund is separate from the free meal fund. If you wish to apply for free meals please go to https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/fe-apply. Once your application is complete you will know immediately if you qualify. The college will also recieve notification of eligibility and will set up the application to receive free meal funding as soon as possible. Free meals do not automatically carry over to college, so you must reapply to be eligible.
