Welcome to the Financial Support Portal! Please read this section prior to starting your application.
If you received Financial Support last year you are still required to complete a new application for 2024-25. Please use your current log in details to start a new application using the 'Sign in with Microsoft' You are not required to register again.
New students are required to register. To do this you will need your STUDENT ID NUMBER. If you are applying before Enrolment please email [email protected] to request this. If you apply after your enrolment appointment, you will find your student number on your QM Student ID card which will be issued to you at enrolment. 2nd Year students who wish to apply for the first time will also be required to register. If your admission number begins with an O please ensure you type the letter O in capitals and not a zero. The portal is case sensitive and will not accept incorrect details. Once registered you will be asked to validate your account. A link will be sent to the email address you register with. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the link.

You can only apply if you are in receipt of a government funded means-tested benefit, such as Universal Credit, Tax Credits or any income-based award. We are unable to assess an application if you are in receipt of contribution-based benefits. Failure to submit the correct evidence will delay your application, and in some cases won't be assessed at all.
Applications will only be assessed once all sections are complete. During very busy times it can take up to 20 working days to process application, so we advise applying early. Travelling by public transport - We are unable to fund travel costs whilst an application is being processed, or offer refunds once approved for support. Please ensure you are able to travel to college whilst your appliction is being assessed.
If you wish to travel on one of our direct College buses you are required to complete a separate application. Details can be found on our Travel to College page on the QMC website and in the Joining Pack. When applying, please tick the 'applying for a bursary.' box. This will ensure you are allocated a seat but will not be charged at the time of booking. Once your application has been processed you will be informed if there is anything to pay or not. Free College Meals. The bursary fund is separate from the free meal fund. If you wish to apply for free meals please go to https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/fe-apply. Once your application is complete you will know immediately if you qualify. The college will also recieve notification of eligibility and will set up the application to receive free meal funding as soon as possible.
